Today I made a plan of the things that I had to complete in order to make it easier for me to get everything done. Here is the plan down below :
Make poster
Add poster & pictures into magazines and blogs
Make trailers and sneak peeks
Continue to work on new website
Think about what to put on social media
Work on EPK
I wrote a 50 word synopsis, a message from the director, cast and crew bios but I couldn't come up with FAQs. I also published the website, there are more things to do before I feel it is complete or good enough but here is the link.
I also made two trailers but it seems that I forgot to put the video on my USB so that's gone forever. Thankfully, I already uploaded it to the website so it is fine, I can probably download it from the website or when I get to a computer that has Adobe Premiere Pro I can just re-export it. Anyway, here is the second one which I don't think is as good as the first one. I should have extended it because the music just ends so abruptly for no reason.
I did some magazine layout stuff. I used templates to create these, the templates are really cool and can be found at https://www.pixeden.com but you have to make an account that's all and there you can find a lot of free and premium templates that are easy and fun to use.
I also made my own posters but they aren't that great-looking, I made them on Adobe Photoshop. There are slight differences in them, can you tell the difference?
These are the texts I wrote
Synopsis -
"A young man has another hard day, left with nowhere to go and no one to talk to, he settles for a random corner somewhere. There, he meets a mysterious dark figure who ushers him into the dark to meet the Shadows. This short film is intended to raise mental health awareness."
Message from the director -
"I put a lot of heart and soul into this short film, if I was a bit hard on you during the process, I want to apologise, I am just very passionate about this subject. This specific subject doesn't personally affect me but I really wanted to spread awareness and try and get people to think about it more, especially in the times we are living in now. I do hope that this project is received well, everyone on every team has worked very hard."
Young man -
The young man in Evening Shadows was played by a young budding actor, well versed in theatre this is his first role on the big screen.
Dark figure -
The dark figure in Evening Shadows was played by an actress completely new to the acting scene. Depending on how this role goes for her, who knows where this will take her....
Director -
The director of Evening Shadows played no small part in the creation of Evening Shadows, she really did a lot, from casting and directing to editing and producing. We wonder where the future leads for her.
