Editing Film

Tuesday 13th October 2020

Today, I am editing my film. I would release the unedited shots but you would hear my voice and it is very cringy so I will probably have to remove the audio first. Editing is fun but I am not very good at it, I hope that what I make is good enough I will post some progress videos. Something funny happened at the beginning. I hadn't edited too much but Adobe Premiere Pro decided to have an error and close itself. It tried to save my stuff but the audio was messed up so I had to redo it but it wasn't that bad. I actually forgot to send myself one of the voiceovers but I decided to edit everything else I could and then I asked my sister if she could find it and send it to me. More on that later.

I don't have BBC iPlayer but if I get one or know someone who has one, a good series to watch is 'Inside Cinema'. Some descriptions of it are as follows :

"Inside Cinemas — Inside Cinema, Shorts. Catherine Bray takes a look at the most dramatic place to set a scene in film: the cinema."

"An exploration of how film-makers explore different themes in film."

So it would be really interesting and useful to watch, just like Homemade on Netflix which I should probably get on to watching.

Maybe exporting the video many times might not be so great but instead, I have some screenshots, you can't really see what's going on in them though can you? Well, things are going.

Also, my sister was able to send me the recording which is great but I don't really have a clear idea as to what I plan to do with it. I have done everything except the the ending I think so I need to hurry up and thing about what i want to do with it.

I have made a decision and I have stuck with it even though it may not be the greatest, I can always just change it. I didn't have enough time for anything extra, especially as I remembered that I hadn't put the dialogue in, which ended up being a rush job, but I can do that next week. I will upload the video in the next post to highlight it.
