Week 2 Meeting

Monday 8th March 2021

Recap of meeting

Week 1 helped to extend practice, the first 2 sheets should have been completed and the meeting tomorrow is to help develop the project. We looked at examples of really good blogs which was very enlightening. Start to fill in the bibliography, first draft (where all elements should be completed) is to be sent to the tutors this Friday so that we can look at them against the criteria. The final project proposal is due by the week of Easter, the 22nd.

If you are unsure you can do some testing. I need to do that research and respond to it. It's all about context, concept and process. For the draft proposals that we looked at, there's a proposal that I am interested in because it seems to have similar ideas to mine. I also need to think about what, why, the subject, the context, and how. "So it’s why I want to do it, some examples of people and how I’m gonna do it"

I might have to change the name of my one drive folder from being FMP to Stage 3 because my tutor suggested the latter as the file name for the project and I am really archiving and uploading stuff to OneDrive all the time, but my tutors have suggested ways to change the organisation of my OneDrive but I think it is fine the way it is. To wrap up, this week should be working on the project proposal draft and testing and exploring different things.

Second meeting:

Look at different types of film. I am only going to do a documentary type or real type film because that is what I am interested in and know I can do and am interested in exploring. Probably has to do with me wanted to be true to myself and also not being creative.

Research allows you to explore, narrow things down through more research and mind maps, music videos are interesting to explore as video projects. Using your own experiences make it more unique. Maybe I should think about exploring identity, possibly my own.

I am going to go analogue for this mind map (this ended up being a flop) and also watch YouTube videos. I think that maybe I shouldn't focus on one thing yet just yet.
