Referencing and Bibliography

The title isn't exactly what this blogpost is about but I couldn't really think of anything else.
On Thursday we had two meeting session. One with our tutor introducing the new sheet to work on and the second with the head Librarian for our course going through what a bibliography is and Harvard referencing.
So with the meeting with our tutor we were introduced to a new form which would help us hone and clarify our proposal. We are to input techniques and themes that we will like to use for this project and the sheet should help identify the direction for our proposal. The next thing I need to do is to create a creative brainstorm. This will help with the sheet. This meeting reminded me that I need to keep referring back to the project proposal because that is what this is all for.
The sheet should help us see that we should not just use one process or material but instead a combination, and it encourages you to have a complexity to your project to enable you to develop something that will have an innovative result. It is all about context, concept and research.
During this meeting I realised that I had created a mind map instead of a mood sheet as a response to the first sheet, 'Assemble Identity', so I went back and created a mood board. It was quite quick but I think it was very representative of the first sheet.
Next week we will start to look at themes and ideas and how they relate to techniques we want to use. The thing is, because I am interested in different things I should think and talk about how the migration topic relates to languages because they are seemingly different but in my head I feel like they share some things. I was able to explore this a bit in the second session with the Librarian AL.
During the session I was asked to either say what subject, narrative or thematic that has emerged within my work/research or two artists that I intend to research. Since I don't really have any artists yet I chose to do the first one and the things I came up with were migration, memories and language. At the moment I am not sure about them but I think it is still something I want to investigate. Through the session I was able to find some starting points to look at, Sheehan T.(2018) 'Photography and Migration' Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group and
Benwell, B. (2006) 'Discourse and Identity' Edinburgh University Press.
To find these we used https://ucreative.libguides.com/librarysearch and https://ucreative.libguides.com/az.php?a=f but for other help with referencing and such, we could also use https://ucreative.libguides.com/ld.php?content_id=32644849 and https://ucreative.libguides.com/referencing .
We were also given bibliography examples, the first in which was just a general bibliography and the second in which we had to identify what type of thing it was referencing.
