In this day and age where fake news games and fake news generators, it is obviously true that fake news exists everywhere in our media, including leaflets. It seems that often when fake news leaflets are created, the ones that are more likely to be caught as fake news are political campaign leaflets which are distributed to the homes of most people and are sometimes read by people who wish to know who to vote for. Due to this, when you try to look for examples of types of fake news leaflets that aren't political, it is very hard. There then doesn't seem to be much content to talk about when you are not interested in politics but there are some things you just have to do, like homework. Provided from The Telegraph website about the Liberal Democrats :

The party was accused of "fake news" after printing election literature which appeared to present quotes from the leader as the opinion of reputable commentators.

The leaflet includes a quote attributed to Sky News in August saying: “The Lib Dem fightback is real - and it’s changing everything,” above a quote attributed to the Guardian in the same month, declaring: “Lib Dems Winning and on the up after by-election victory”.

This just goes to show you how easily fake news can be printed and spread. I am sure that there are many people who would believe this until it is proven to be fake news. It also doesn't seem like it would be something that is particularly significantly highlighted in a leaflet so people who read this would just skim over it and not think too much about it in terms of validity. However, this is sighted right after :

However, both outlets were merely quoting Jo Swinson giving her own opinion on her party's fortunes.

It is the third time in as many days the anti-Brexit party has been forced to defend accusations of sleight of hand.

This could show that actually, it is wasn't intended to be fake news but instead a biased point of view. To be honest though, I don't know anything about politics so I don't really understand what is going on. Words can so easily be manipulated and now so can images and videos if you have enough experience. What an interesting world.
