Editing

Editing went over two days, it felt quite smooth and experimenting with it was fun. I say the editing went smoothly, I don't mean the video because the video is very choppy, but editing the video didn't feel too hard as I knew what I wanted and how to get it. I wrote a script and easily recorded it, I wondered about editing the audio so it didn't sound like my voice but I decided against it because I wanted it to feel natural.

As the bottom text of the document notes, there are weird cuts and thrown objects in the video but it has nothing to do with the subliminal messages that I added into the video, I just added those weird thing because I thought it was funny and it made the whole video generally weird. As usual my editing software was Adobe Premier Pro, it is what I am most comfortable with using for things like this.

For the subliminal pictures, I played around with fps and first tried 1 millisecond but I thought it might be too fast and then switched to 5 milliseconds but it felt too apparent. The source on my previous research on said "usually a few milliseconds", so I took the liberty to make then 2 milliseconds. But it still felt like it showed too much so I decided to make the pictures more transparent and 1 millisecond which made it look a lot better though it wasn't the best, it was good enough.

Above, you can see two pictures, one is before I added the subliminal text, the second is after I added the text. I didn't make it too obvious, it is there, just hiding in the bushes. I made some of the others more obvious, I changed placements of all of them and colours to fit the message.

The auditory subliminal messages are mixed in with the lack of understanding. The brain doesn't understand what is being said so it will grasp onto the English that it hears.

The voice recording was fun, although a little awkward. I think it worked out fine in the end. After I was done with the editing I realised that I was going to need to add music. I should have thought more about music before this and even done research but I didn't, next time I will need to consider this.
