Day Forty-Seven : CoppaFeel

Today, we had a presentation from CoppaFeel. They are a breast cancer awareness charity. They believe that early detection is the best defence and they are not about looking for cancer but about knowing your body more than anything else. Their motto is to Encourage, Educate and Empower. Kris, the founder has a BBC documentary called 'Dying to live' and I think it would be cool to watch. Some facts that I learnt are 1 in 8 females in the UK will get breast cancer at some point in their life, 400 men get breast cancer every year (I think this statistic if just for the UK though) and 1 in 2 people will have a type of cancer in their life. They also talked about how cancer is hereditary.
