Friday 10th January 2020

As with all Fridays we have a lecture today, however today it is a lot earlier. I have heard what it is about twice now but I still can't remember. We also have to make sandwich boards today. I made my sandwich board and then I left.

Before I finished my sandwich board, we had a lecture about 'Text, Image, Protest and Propaganda'. It was really interesting. I wrote down a lot of people and artists that use Text ad Image for Protest and Propaganda, here are some below:

Suffragette movement

Soviet Propaganda posters

Alexander Rodchenko

Ludwig Hohlwein

A M Cassandre

Joseph Goebbles, Nazi Propaganda Minister

Spanish Civil War

Pablo Picasso

World War 2 Propaganda

North Korean Propaganda

1970'S Protest posters

Barbara Kruger

Trade Union banners

Christopher Wool and many more

I went out and someone took some pictures of me with my sandwich board.

It says "THE EARTH IS FLAT" on the front and "IF YOU DISAGRE YOUR A DUNC" it is supposed to be a sandwich board making fun of Flat Earthers because I don't believe the Earth is flat so technically according to my message I am a dunce because I didn't spell it properly. I now realise that that could be seen as offensive by those that are dyslexic but I had not intended this and I should have thought about this before I made the sandwich board. Next time I will consider this.
