These are the words I have to say about my progression, the document where this is written it to be printed and placed in my Personal Development Folder, and while the images in the document have not been added to this post, I feel like it is not necessary.
Progression :
I decided that I preferred to work in the education industry and as I liked travelling, maybe teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) abroad suited me most. I spent a lot of time thinking about this and researching as well and I found jobs in Japan and China that I interested in because of the job requirement and the possible progression opportunity. It is interesting to work abroad, you can learn a new language, learn about a new culture and learn more about yourself. Those two countries are definitely looking to the future and there is a lot of prospect there; they are the future. Of course, they aren’t the only ones or the “best ones” but you soon find out that it is quite a bit harder to get into other similar countries, especially with my current qualifications.
Many people have told me that I am rushing into things and there is nothing wrong with going to university first and trying out new things and such but I just feel like it would be a waste of time and even if it is a huge mistake, it is my mistake to make and I have the right to make it and learn from it. Many people are worried that if I fail with this there may not be much I can do after and it may be “too late”, however I know for a fact that you can go to university at any time in your life so there is no real need for their worry. I feel like this is the right choice for me at this moment and since I am indecisive and change my mind very quickly, I may change my mind when it is “too late”, however I am determined to see this through and come out at the end of it having made this decision out of my own volition.
Below I have included various images that show some of the potential jobs and opportunities that I have been looking at and talked more specifically about what I plan to do.

TEFL -
A little description and explanation about TEFL from e4s (Employment4Students)
“The acronym TEFL simply stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language. There are other acronyms you might have come across as well such as TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) amongst others, but by and large, they are all pretty similar.
After doing a course, students will be awarded a TEFL certificate and will be qualified to teach English as a foreign language. This opens up opportunities for long-term travel or living abroad and, more importantly, earning decent money while doing it. You don't need to know a second language to be able to teach English to non-English speakers! To teach abroad, you will only need your TEFL certificate for most countries. Some countries only give a work visa to teachers who have a degree, so you would need to be a graduate and be TEFL qualified to work there. Most countries do not insist on a degree qualification though, so once you have your TEFL certificate, you will be able to work as a teacher.”
I have already have a TEFL certificate however, I am thinking that in order to increase my chances I should take a Level 5 TEFL course which is the highest level course you can get. I really like learning about languages and other cultures so this is something that I am quite interested in. I have always had a passion for teaching and I have tutoring experience, though it would be beneficial to get more experience. I do have experience working with children and also customer service and I think that it is useful.
My first option is getting an internship, this can help me get experience in both the field and the country. There aren’t really any hard requirements for internships so they are easier to get into. My second option would be an entry-level type job Considering where I am now, it is best for me to look for jobs opportunities that allow overseas applications, however, there are some jobs that require you to be in the country to apply. And I also need to think about visas.
There are also CMPT related job opportunities that I have considered and looked at as a backup plan.
