Some of the following was done alongside a mind map which I gave up on.
Media: Photography, Film
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_styles
"Film styles are recognizable cinematic techniques used by filmmakers to give specific changes or value to their work. It can include all aspects in making a film, including: sound design, mise-en-scène, dialogue, cinematography, editing, or attitude."
Possibilities : Narrative, documentary, arthouse, realist
Martin Parr-

While researching the theme of a journey came into my head
During the mind map I gave up and decided to just write
Thomas Fredrich Schaefer-

"The family home is often defined by the things we associate with it. These entities exist as both objects in their own right and reference points upon which we frame our memories. Recalling these places and the things evokes the experience of nostalgia.
In creating the space the artist experiences an emotional novelty as the installation triggers memories of a previously experienced space.
These experiential spaces are historically accurate reconstructions of childhood memories- bringing to mind questions of the accuracy of memory. Hand build sets were constructed and documented with digital photography before being deconstructed- making the place as ephemeral and intangible as one's memory. The installation is only evident in the photograph itself.
The depicted space, reconstructed from memory and imagination can lead to a new view when looking at the past."
How to explore :
I have already decided that I wanted to produce a film because I think it will carry the most impact with it as opposed to a set of photographs and a blog. This is not because great impact can not be had with the other forms but instead because I know less how to create and show that impact with them. I don't really have a set idea of what exactly I want to produce but I think as opposed to a narrative film I want to create a documentary film because I want it to be real and be known as real, however I will keep an open mind and experiment both ways. I want to research into identity, childhood, language and migration, I think that those topics are really connected with each other and with me. I want to look at books, videos, articles and such to try and get a better grasp of the topics and what they can mean to people and what they are. Speaking of people, I want to incorporate other people with this project, perhaps film them or get their story and find out what it means to them because I want the product to be more connected with people as these topics cannot exist with only one person, I think it would add a lot of depth to the product. For exploration into those topics I want to do some research into Martin Parr and Thomas Friedrich Schaefer because I have seen some of the themes in their work.
Looking at examples of work about identity and migration in recent times -

Rich Brian- The Sailor Album, Yellow
https://www.songmeaningsandfacts.com/yellow-by-rich-brian-ft-bekon/
“Yellow” is basically a song celebrating the extraordinary success of Rich Brian.
The song is intended to be an exercise in possibility thinking. In other words, his ultimate goal is to inspire the listener with his story. And through the utilization of highly-symbolic language, he seems to express a sentiment tantamount to people being their own worst enemies in terms of achieving their individual dreams.

Yellow is often a derogatory term used to describe people of Asian descent. Brian hails from Indonesia, which is a group of islands located in the southeast part of Asia. Brian has become a popular figure in his home country, even garnering praise from his president.
In this line, Rich Brian tells the listener not to write him off because of his skin tone. While his unorthodox look may scare casual listeners off, he is still able to make quality music, evident by this song. Immanuel has always tried to change the stereotype of what an Asian should be like.
