Today we were given a template to write our project proposals. We were meant to write the review of the past few projects so here it is. I really struggled with making it concise but I did my best. Also I got the short film that we made on Friday emailed to me. I don't think the audio chosen was a good choice for the film but it wasn't bad. If you are wondering what piece it is, it is Piano Sonata 11: Turkish March by Mozart.
So far in year 1, I have learnt the Adobe Creative Cloud and some filming techniques, which are essential for my final project this year. I have learnt about myself as well, as a potential artist I think that I am better as an abstract creator, however I often like to focus on realism. In the past, I attempted to work with the aperture of the stills or moving images with the videos I created, because I like the effect I will continue doing this. I found that I needed to work on my editing and filming skills and I did this between the last project and the beginning of this project. Through the last project, I realised that I am not as good at creating videos compared to website things. I enjoyed researching because I liked looking at current products, seeing the latest innovations and how mainstream technology has been pushed. It took me a while to think of a topic to focus on for the last project but I hope this will not happen again.
I think we had the Gimbal Induction today so it will be written here. The passage of time is an interesting thing, maybe I should research it. The DJI Gimbal Induction was very fun, it was interesting to learn how to use it and what it could be used for. I took some notes but I know they won't make sense to anybody except me but I will still put them here. Also I thought Gimbal was spelt 'gimble'.
- Get a 700D
- Put it to video
- Shutter speed 50
- ISO
- Manual focus
- DJI Ronin S
- Gimble
- Tripod set
- Handle
- Plate
- Gimble part
- Attach parts
- Arrow points towards the lens
- Make sure it goes straight
- They slidey-slidey
- Make sure the word Ronin is the right way around
- Make sure there is space in the middle
- Hold it at the knob
- Try to find the balance point
- Make sure the grey nodule lines up to the lens
- If it vibrates when you move it, you have done it wrongly.
